How to use and maintain the magnetic separator correctly?

Pre-operation Inspection:

  1. Check whether the scraper is in contact with the surface of the cylinder properly.
  2. Ensure that there is an appropriate amount of oil in the bearings and the gearbox.
  3. Check whether any bolts are loose.
  4. Check the power supply for any malfunctions.
  5. Ensure that there are no obstructions in the hopper.

Operation

  1. Turn on the power and start the equipment.
  2. Feed the ore in small amounts until the equipment is running smoothly, and then gradually increase the amount of ore.
  3. When stopping the equipment, stop feeding the ore first and then empty the remaining ore before turning off the equipment.

Maintenance

  1. The surface of the drum must not be struck or impacted, and the wear of the drum skin must be checked regularly. When the wear depth of the outer layer of the drum skin exceeds 1 millimeter, it should be replaced promptly.
  2. Clean the surface of the magnetic roller regularly to reduce wear and tear. Excessive iron filings on the surface can cause significant resistance and severely affect the magnetic separation effect.
  3. Iron-magnetic materials (larger than 1 millimeter) should not be allowed near the surface of the magnetic roller to avoid damaging the equipment. Larger iron objects that are magnetically attracted to the drum may be difficult to remove.
  4. Check the fastening screws of each part frequently to prevent them from loosening and causing equipment failure.
  5. Do not bring magnetized items such as magnetic cards, mobile phones, and watches near the magnetic roller.
